Finding Rest in Jesus: Letting Go of Worry and Overwhelm
Do you ever feel like you can’t take one more thing? Like all the worry and overwhelm has piled up, and you wonder when the real adult will show up and take charge so you can finally relax?

This sign hangs on the wall at the foot of my bed as a reminder that I don’t need to face life’s challenges alone. It’s the last thing I see at night and the first thing in the morning. Jesus’ words encouraged me not to let the worry for my family or the overwhelming day pile up. I don’t need to wonder when the real adult will show up and take over because I can give everything to Jesus – the one who promises rest for anyone who comes to him.
“Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light”
(Matthew 11:28-30 NLT).
