Finding God in the Storm: Trusting Him When Life Feels Hopeless

Years ago, I cried out to God in desperation along this very pathway.
Broken and battered by the storm that barreled down on my family, I begged God to still the storm so my family wouldn’t have to go through it. Instead, God met me and my family in it. Even in my despair, God encouraged me to focus on him, not the storm.
That season strengthened my trust in God and taught me that he was in control even when I felt all hope was lost. His plan may not always look like mine, but I could trust him with my fears, family, and future.
If you are experiencing a difficult season, know that God is with you. He will never leave you. You are not alone.
“Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken.
O my people, trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge.” Psalms 62:5-6,8
